On Wednesday, June 11 we'll revisit what Mars has been doing and its effect on our charts, so bring your charts. We'll look at a couple of charts of earthquakes, and revisit the idea of signatures in our charts. We have seen Mars activity in the sky correspond to events on earth. The opposition of Mars to Jupiter, in April and early May while Mars was still in Cancer, brought a number of events. Stimulating Mars opposing religious Jupiter brought a visit from the Pope. Troublesome Mars in the domestic sign Cancer opposing Jupiter in the government sign Capricorn was mirrored in the event of Texas authorities disrupting homes by removing children from the polygamist sect camp. The devastating cyclone in Myanmar happened under this opposition. Difficult weather corresponding to these planets makes sense when you remember that the 4 Florida hurricanes of '04 happened under Mars conjunct Jupiter and in '07 two cat 5 hurricanes hit Mexico while Mars was opposing Jupiter. An interesting addition to this opposition was that Jupiter was near the 1st magnitude star, Antares, and Mars was near the 1st magnitude star, Aldebaran. In April and May, Saturn has been near the 1st magnitude star, Regulus. This added to the correspondents in the Myanmar cyclone and the China quake. As hurricane season starts we need to look at what is coming astrologically. Mars will be in the same sign as Saturn in July and the 1st 2 and ½ weeks of August. This is an important correspondent for storms. Fortunately, it does not happen during the peak of the season, but I will unpack and fire up the new generator just in case.

Kripalu Yoga puts great emphasis on the mechanics of yoga – proper breath and alignment –as well as on the inner, spiritual dimensions of Yoga practice. Students are encouraged to honor the "wisdom of the body" and to work according to the limits of their individual flexibility and strength. All levels are welcome.

Tai Chi is an upright moving meditation that nurtures the Body, Mind, and Spirit. Tai Chi promotes self-awareness, improves balance and circulation, deepens the breath, and relaxes the body. The slow, dance-like movements are combined with deep abdominal breathing, which has a beneficial effect on the circulation of the blood and on the Chi energy of the body. This exercise has a calming effect enabling you to deal with stress and pressure more easily in your everyday life. Recommended for all levels. Instructor - Juliet Kjerulff - 25 years experience.
