1) DR. MARY HORGAN CENTER - RON VAN DYKE
The Mary Horgan Center for Spiritual Development is the headquarters for the Metagroups Community Calendar since August 2005 and the Daily 9th Wave Videos since January 2011. Meetings are held weekly at 473 Thomas Drive in Melbourne (Eau Gallie). There is a meeting room and the Dr. Mary Horgan Memorial Meditation Room and Library. The latter is available for counseling and healing sessions. DIRECTIONS: Turn north on Johnson Drive off of Aurora Road about 1/4 mile west of Croton and 3/4 mile east of Wickham, then turn right at stop sign, bear left onto Thomas, click for MAP. VIEW (click left arrow twice for front view of house). House is second from the end on the left-hand-side. Perspectives meets every Wednesday from 7-9 pm. Workshops and special events are held periodically. Ron also holds or sponsors events in other locations, and is active in The New Way POD in Cocoa. We will have speakers or videos each week, and allow time for discussion. As always, refreshments will be served. A love offering is requested as a Fair Energy Exchange. When there is a guest speaker, the offering will generally be divided 50-50 between the guest and The Mary Horgan Center. Monies collected for the Mary Horgan Center are used to purchase refreshments, videos and to support the Metagroups Community Calendar. Everyone is invited! Meta Circle meets every Sunday at our new meeting location, 307 Lincoln, Melbourne. Look for the Meta Circle sign, it is easy to find, located just 2 blocks north of Strawbridge between Oak and Pine Streets. Or, traveling on Hibiscus, turn south on Hickory (the hospital street), and turn right or west onto Lincoln. The meeting starts promptly at 7 and is over at 8:45 - sometimes a little longer if there is enthusiastic interest in the topic. Rev. Sigi has held this service since 1993 in her center and is offering this powerful prayer circle to heal and send Reiki to all who have asked to be on the healing list as well as to the ones who are present. All Reiki practitioners are welcomed to lay on hands on people present while they are in sitting position. Absentee Reiki will be sent to all on the prayer list as well. Pure intent and willingness to speak the word for one another as well as for self and the trust in the outcome is all that is required. I use it everyday on everything. It has changed my life in so many miraculous ways. The first level of Reiki is about self healing. So important! If we do not truly heal ourselves, how can we facilitate healing in others. You will learn the five tenants of Reiki as well as the hand positions, how to channel the energies, and how to do treatments for self and others. Remember though Reiki I is about self healing. Spark of Divine is proud to host, Cary Bayer, a New York- and southeast Florida-based life coach who's worked with Oscar-winner Alan Arkin, David Steinberg, and Quality Inns, will come to Nutley to teach a workshop on how to overcome procrastination. Bayer will refer to his books, How to Overcome Procrastination NOW! and Affirmations to End Procrastination to provide both a curative and preventive approach to procrastinating. First, he shows participants how to cure one particular habit of procrastination by breaking big tasks into manageable smaller ones that students can make progress on several days each week, and reward themselves for doing the things they typically delay doing. This typically enables them to overcome their specific long-held habit of delay in a matter of a few days or sometimes a few weeks. The author also gives students a 15-20 minute inner preventive workout that he calls “The Procrastination Aerobics” which empowers them in such a way as to make it very difficult for procrastination to rear its ugly head again in their lives. Kirtan is an ancient spiritual tradition of devotional call-and-response chants to the divine. The words chanted during Kirtan are usually sacred Sanskrit mantras from India though chants from other religions are also used. Often the chants invoke the name of a specific deity such as Krishna but it is always the one Spirit, the one Divine Presence, that is being worshipped, regardless of the name in a particular chant. The purpose of kirtan is to bring us closer to the Divine/Spirit. Chanting opens and purifies our hearts and allows us to experience the constant flow of love that surround us Through our devotional chanting, we come to experience that wellspring of love within and to realize our ultimate oneness with the sacred. Reflections on donations: The Center is now run by a small group of volunteers who worked hard to transform it and keep it open, and are dedicated to the advancement of the community. They give freely from their heart, although it is costing them time and money. They also invested effort, time, expenses and energy to become skillful and experienced. In many cases, this process continues in the present, as experience is accumulated and knowledge is constantly being perfected and updated. It is only reasonable that this be valued and appreciated by those benefiting from it. By making a donation to any institution, project or person we show appreciation for what we consider fortunate to have received, while at the same time creating conditions in the future for others to receive as well. We acknowledge that everything is energy; every thought, object, word and deed. The pure intentions we put forth into the universe with our minds and hearts is the path to healing the world and our own lives. Likewise, money is energy. When we give an offering from a true place of love and gratitude not fear or pressure, that gesture not only benefits a cause in obvious financial ways such as keeping it afloat but most importantly, it completes an exchange of energy necessary to maintain the balance of “give and receive” in every sphere of our Universe, Donation creates a relationship of exchange in harmony with the laws of nature, inter-dependence and inter-relationship. This relationship of "give and receive" is based on conscious awareness, personal responsibility, mutual respect and wisdom. It affects all aspects of one’s life and all the people and situations we come in contact with. The future is created by actions in the present. Donations reflect appreciation and become part of creating future opportunities for others to experience the same. It is good to remember that the reason why we, in the present, are receiving something from someone is that somebody else, before us, has practiced generosity. Mondays, 7-9pm – AFRICAN DRUM CLASS (all level welcome)
Instructor: ABOUBACAR S. CAMARA, a master drummer with family roots in Dakar, Senegal and Conakry, Guinea in West Africa. He trained for seven years as a professional drummer and dancer with the Troupe D’Enfants of the Republique of Guinea (Children’s Troupe of the Republic of Guinea). From 1997-2002 he was the leader of the professional performance group Bougarabou located in Dakar and under his leadership they toured and performed in Japan, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Australia and Switzerland. From 2004-2006 Aboubacar worked at Walt Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the leader of the group Africa Sanke. In the United States he has led groups and done numerous performances. He has taught drumming and dancing in local schools, for community organizations, and also in private classes. He speaks fluent French, twelve West African languages, and his repertoire includes a wide variety of percussion rhythms and dances. For his upcoming drumming class he will teach a beginner level rhythm called Koukou, an advanced beginner rhythm called Sinté, and finally a more advanced rhythm called Sonsoriné. This is an introductory class to sacred geometry, Sacred geometry is a universal language that describes the inner workings of nature and the intrinsic order of the universe. Sacred geometry unites all forms of life… from microbes, plants, animals and humans to the motions of the planets and stars. Sacred geometry simultaneously uses both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. The analogical and rational mathematical logic contained in geometry is processed through the left brain; while the artistic graphical shapes, patterns and beauty are processed through the right brain– effecting whole brain consciousness, which in turn promotes a healthy mind and an expanded state of consciousness! FREE HEALING FOR THE COMMUNITY! This is a monthly opportunity for the community to meet some of our healers and experience shamanic healing techniques. Bring your aches and pains. Shamanic healing roots are in the mists of time and works with unseen energy. There have been shamanic healers for thousands of years in tribal communities all around the world. The contemporary application of shamanic practices used in healing, problem solving, self-discovery, and personal growth is a living, evolving system of healing tools. These tools transform and heal the conflicts between body, mind and spirit created by the chaotic pace of modern life. A shamanic practitioner heals what is spiritually out of balance and manifests as a physical, psychological or emotional problem ; he/she works in partnership with his/her helping spirits. The helping spirits do the diagnosis and advise on what healing ceremony should be done. Shamanism is a spiritual system. It is not a religion. It is an open-source practice rooted in presence, gratitude and the inter-connectivity of all things and in the concept that we are all one with everything. We are all spirit. We have the ability and right to connect with the worlds of spirit. This is a community service event, presented by volunteer students who have completed studies in Peruvian shamanic ancient techniques. Let’s take a trip around the medicine wheel, taking us on a journey to a scared place deep within our hearts. We begin our trip in the Void where all things are possible. We will learn how working in the void can help us move more easily along our path. We will learn how to create inside the void and bring that creation into this world. Each month we will move into a different direction learning about the energies of each direction and how they can assist us as we move along our path. We will work with the elements of each direction in ceremonies. This will help bring in awareness and understanding. We will learn how plants, animals, stones and other beings work to help us in each direction. We will learn about creating sacred space and how to call in the directions. As we travel around the Medicine Wheel you will be creating your own traveling Medicine Wheel, so at the end of this class you will have an understanding of how to work with the energies of the Medicine Wheel and a Medicine Wheel to work with. These classes will help us to make a deeper connection with spirit and with our true selves. Kirtan is an ancient spiritual tradition of devotional call-and-response chants to the divine. The words chanted during Kirtan are usually sacred Sanskrit mantras from India though chants from other religions are also used. Often the chants invoke the name of a specific deity such as Krishna but it is always the one Spirit, the one Divine Presence, that is being worshipped, regardless of the name in a particular chant. The purpose of kirtan is to bring us closer to the Divine/Spirit. Chanting opens and purifies our hearts and allows us to experience the constant flow of love that surround us Through our devotional chanting, we come to experience that wellspring of love within and to realize our ultimate oneness with the sacred. Now 23 Years of Nature’s Spirit continuing on here in this lovely historic village of Eau Gallie. The native/herbal/butterfly garden that I planted leads one onto the path to enter Nature’s Spirit. Butterflies abound, birds nest and the squirrels scurry about. At times the bees buzz inside and out and many dragonflies glide through this enchanted Nature’s Spirit domain. I am honored to carry on in such a sacred setting.
Of course many of you know that I have an Angel who continues to assist me in daily life and here at the shoppe of course. For those who met Andrea when she was in a beautiful young girl form you will remember her joy, her smiles and laughter and mostly her love. She loved her life and had lots of fun when she was in her body. Now she is on another plane, one that I continue to attempt to understand. That is a process. This May 19th will be Andrea’s 2 year date of transition. I ask you all to remember the LOVE. I always said I was and am guided by Spirit…now I have the daily guidance of my Angel as well. Yes, I do hear her and feel here. Energy is Eternal, as are our souls.
It took me much to face the process of planning the month of May events. Mother’s Day is always in May & I must be honored to be the Mama of an Angel who carries on. I know she has touched many hearts and I am grateful for each and every fond memory. I am still Julia’s Mom, yet she is almost all grown up. I love her dearly and I know she misses her little sister so she needs prayers at this time too!

What is high-frequency healing? Lets start with the premise that everything is Energy.... We are composed of energy. Minerals are energy. Plants are energy. Humans are energy. The entire universe is made of energy. We are energy in motion; meaning, our energy is always moving within us at different vibrational levels. The rate of speed at which our energy vibrates is what we call Frequency. We can't see our energy in motion because it vibrates extremely fast and we have a limited neurological system. A limited neurological system means that we can only perceive with our eyes, very low vibrations. For example, did you know that a movie is not a continuous image; but rather a series of slides passing by at a rate of 48 per second? This means its vibrational rate is 48. Our bodies are composed of tissue. Tissue is composed of cells. Cells are composed of molecules. Molecules are composed of atoms. Atoms are electrons going around a nucleous; just as planets go around the sun. Electrons vibrate at millions per second; therefore, how can we possibly see electrons vibrate at this rate of speed if we can't even see 48 vibrations per second. Did you know the distance between an electron and its nucleous is the same as the distance between the earth and the sun in scale? This means 99.99% is space; however, there is energy in this space. Liz will be guiding students by introducing the basics methods of meditation and the foundation of building the inner temple for stress and health issues. This is class is a introduction to the Inner Temple Level One course. In these classes students will learn how to relieve stress in their lives, send healing energy to their problem areas and others. Healing Circle/Ongoing event: Attendees will write the names of people and pets needing healing for whatever reason, health, mental or spiritual. Liz will guide the group through a guided mediation and show the students how to send healing energy. Afterwards, the group will gather to read the names and throw the names into a fire where everyone will participate in sending the smoke to the skies and the gods. A moving experience that everyone will want to repeat on a regular basis. Healing circle will start after the Mediation class and will continue indefinitely dependent on demand. There will be no set fees for either event. Love donations will be accepted. Everyone is invited to come regardless of religion affiliation. Liz Casper has been a student of Christopher Penczak, founder of the Temple of Witchcraft for over 8 years and is a recent graduate of Witchcraft V. Note that non-tunable animal skin drums such as Native American hand drums do not fare well in the cooler humidity of the evening, so Ed suggests using one of his drums. At a Really Really Free Market, goods and services are available at no cost. Yes, like a garage sale and, yes, like a Freecycle Free-for-all. But more so. If you have nothing, that's fine. I you have something to bring, that's fine. But no need to trade. It is all there for free. It's like a potluck--everyone brings something and leaves with more. We all have skills, ideas, objects, talents, smiles, friendship, excitement, discussions and many other things to share. If we bring them together at the REALLY REALLY FREE MARKET, we can provide more balanced and full lives for all of us. Bring food, music, clothes, furniture, toys, skills and thrills and anything else you can GIVE or SHARE. Skills? Bring them on. Fun skills. Serious skills. Play an instrument? Bring them. Why? Why not? Information tables? Of course. Garden clippings, vegetable and plant seeds and seedlings, extra pots? Bring them on. Bikes and boards? Wheel them in! Haircuts? Reflexology? Community Info? Face painting, massage, basic check-ups? Why not. Surplus food? Absolutely! Clothing and books and movies. You bet. With effort, everyone can have what they need. Bring everything but leave your wallet at home. What do we need now? Help get the word out! Let people know it is happening and it will be ongoing. Have them bring stuff, put off the yard sale, get that spring cleaning done. We need flyers. Nothing fancy. Just make up something and get it out there. Make them on your computer and send them in email. Make invitations, talk to businesses. The more people who do this, the larger and more ubiquitous it seems. That means more folk and more goods and more things changing hands and more people taken care of. More goods and services and energy circulating. Let's show folks what is really meant by The Free Market. Some folks do better than others. It is time to end the concept that wealth is always synonymous with effort and poverty is always synonymous with lazy. Let's support each other, those who have and those who don't.
